How to Download PSD Files from PSD Album (and Fix Common Problems)
Every template on PSD Album is free and does not need a login or a password. Files are delivered from Google Drive. This page explains the download steps and how to solve the problems people most often write to us about.
Step by step
- Open a design page and check the preview, size, DPI and file size.
- Click 'Download PSD — Free'. A download page opens and prepares your Google Drive link for a few seconds.
- Click 'Download from Google Drive' when it appears. Drive opens in a new tab.
- Large files cannot be virus-scanned by Google, so Drive shows a notice. Choose 'Download anyway'.
- Your browser saves a ZIP file. Extract it and open the PSD in Adobe Photoshop CC.
Drive says 'Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file'
Popular files sometimes hit Google's temporary download quota. Wait a few hours and try again, or sign in to a Google account, open the file, and use 'Add shortcut to Drive' or 'Make a copy', then download from your own Drive. If it persists for more than a day, email us with the design ID.
The ZIP will not open or says it is damaged
This almost always means the download did not finish. Check that the file size on your computer matches the size listed on the design page. Download again on a stable connection, preferably with a desktop browser rather than a mobile data hotspot. Use 7-Zip on Windows or The Unarchiver on Mac for very large ZIPs. Photoshop shows missing fonts
The template uses a font that is not installed on your computer. Photoshop will substitute a default font when you edit the text. You can replace it with any similar font you own; keep one font family across the album for consistency.
The file is very large or Photoshop is slow
Album sheets at 300 DPI can be several hundred megabytes. Close other programs, give Photoshop more memory in Preferences > Performance, and set a scratch disk on a drive with plenty of free space. Saving as PSB is only needed for files larger than 2 GB.
Can I use the files for clients?
Yes. You can use templates for personal projects and for client work such as albums you design for customers. Please do not re-upload or resell the PSD files themselves. See our Terms of Use.

Opening the file after download
Large album PSDs are usually delivered as ZIP files. Extract them fully before opening; double-clicking a PSD inside a ZIP preview often fails or opens a temporary copy you may lose. On Windows, right-click and choose Extract All, or use 7-Zip. If extraction stops with an error, the download was probably interrupted, so download it again on a stable connection.
